Fast multi-format CAD previews, geometry checks and conversion; measure and share in the workspace. CADProps offers fast online CAD previews without installing desktop CAD software. Preview speed varies with file size, format and assembly complexity. Upload via a one-time browser link, return to the conversation to inspect dimensions, units, volume and surface area, and distinguish exact CAD geometry from mesh approximations. Convert supported temporary uploads to STEP, STL or GLB, download results, or hand off the model to the CADProps workspace. In the workspace, measure, section, inspect assembly trees, adjust part visibility, explode assemblies, annotate and share completed 3D models. These workspace features are not separate MCP tools. Format support includes STEP/STP, IGES/IGS, STL, OBJ, 3MF, GLB/glTF, DWG, DXF, SVG, PDF, DWF/DWFX, JT, ACIS SAT/SAB, Parasolid X_T/X_B, Rhino 3DM and supported SolidWorks, Inventor, CATIA, Creo, Solid Edge and ZIP packages. Format versions, dependencies and readable geometry affect coverage. Some Creo and CATProduct files provide thumbnails only. STEP export is solid B-Rep only when exact geometry is available; mesh exports remain triangulated. Same-format conversions are refused. Temporary connector uploads and inspection/conversion do not require a CADProps account. Limit: 50 MiB; temporary files expire after approximately one hour; conversion quotas apply. Handoff revokes the connector reference and links. Creating website shares requires sign-in; recipients can view and measure without signing in, and cannot download the original CAD file.
